1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of ILivedHere ("the platform", "we", "us"). By using ILivedHere you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Who can use ILivedHere

ILivedHere is available to anyone aged 18 or over who has rented a property in the United Kingdom. By submitting a review you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the review is based on your genuine personal experience as a tenant at the property described.

3. Reviews and user content

When you submit a review you confirm that:

• The review is based on your genuine personal experience
• Everything stated as fact is true to the best of your knowledge
• The review does not contain false statements of fact
• The review does not name individual employees of letting agencies
• The review does not contain defamatory, harassing or illegal content
• You are solely responsible for the content of your review

By submitting a review you indemnify ILivedHere and its operators against any claims, costs or damages arising from your submitted content.

4. Our role as a platform

ILivedHere is a neutral hosting platform. We do not endorse, verify or adopt user reviews as our own statements. We moderate reviews before publication to check they meet our content guidelines, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of user submitted content.

We operate under the protections afforded to hosting platforms under the UK Electronic Commerce Regulations 2002 and the Defamation and Malicious Publication (Scotland) Act 2021.

5. Takedown requests

If you are a landlord or letting agent and believe a review contains false statements of fact about you or your business, you may request its removal by emailing admin@ilivedhere.uk with details of the specific content you believe to be false and your reasons.

We will review all takedown requests and respond within 14 days. We will remove content we determine to be unlawful. We will not remove content solely because it is negative or critical.

6. Accounts

You do not need an account to submit a review. If you create an account you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at admin@ilivedhere.uk.

7. Prohibited use

You must not use ILivedHere to submit false or fabricated reviews, to harass or target individuals, to conduct any automated scraping or data collection, or for any unlawful purpose.

8. Disclaimer

ILivedHere is provided as is without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any review or information on the platform. You use the platform at your own risk.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
